I have added a pair of small gumboots to my wet weather wardrobe and am hoping they will keep my feet dry when teamed with the gators I got from the army disposal store.
I didn’t want to have to carry extra shoes with me if it is raining heavily, or to have to take off my wet shoes when I arrive at my destination, so I decided these gumboots, which I picked up on an online sale, are stylish enough to wear when I go out, and also that the gators will keep rain out of them ….
I haven’t yet worn them in heavy rain so cannot vouch for them working, but the gators work well on the bike and do not catch on any part of the pedals or chain, which I was a bit worried about …
The jacket is completely water proof, wrinkle proof and stain proof so far and I have worn it a lot in the 5 months I have had it. I have a couple of black winter skirts and am thinking of applying water proofing to one of them so it will act as a water resistant skirt, then although my stockings will get wet, they will dry quickly when I arrive at my destination. The only way that water could get into my boots would be if it was able to wick down through the fabric of the stockings into the boots, so here’s hoping that does not happen! Once I’ve tried this out in heavy rain I will write about it again (but this could be quite a while as I try to avoid riding in heavy rain!).

Vicki, I love all the black and red!
Thanks Annie, I hope I will be easy to see out there!
Those little Wellies are soooo cute. They are very feminine and look lovely with the skirt!
Thanks BB!
