Beautifully refurbished vintage bike

Today my eye was caught by the sunlight glinting off the mudguard of this bike, even though I was at some distance from it. At first I thought it was new, but on closer inspection I saw that it was a vintage frame, painted over, with some new components (mudguards, saddle, brakes, whitewall tyres, basket, pedals and grips) added. The original chromed wheels look superb and the red and white colour colour scheme is eye catching. Vintage components retain character…. There were no decals, making this anonymous bike even more enticing. I give it 10/10.

Hmmm … I’d like a set of those chrome guards for my red Road King!

I like how you are captivated by the colors or chrome on a bike. Never mind that it’s lacking decals or a brand name. You just like bikes. As it should be.

I’m in Melbourne at The moment and bsc bikes stock a range of fenders in chrome, alloy, and even (swoon) brass!! They are a bit expensive, mostly from USA fabricators i believe, but worth a look. They have a comprehensive online site/shop.
