That “Royal Star” 10>3 speed looks interesting. I would figure that if someone cared enough to convert a 10 speed to 3, they wouldn’t have that disconnected or snapped shifter cable, basically turning that bike into a single speed. But maybe it was originally a 3-speed all along? I wouldn’t think someone who was going to do a modern conversion on a bike like that would use what looks like an older Shimano shifter.
I was told it was converted but I have to admit I didn’t look too closely to confirm what I was told so I could well be wrong …. and this was not told to me by the owner of the bike, I’ll look closer next time I see the bike, thanks for pointing it out to me!
