Go to the beach. This is a no-brainer really. The beaches are accessible by bike, there are no parking problems when you get there, you generally don’t have much stuff to carry, and if you are going to the beach, the weather must be fine for riding too.
Commute. This is in Hunter Street, there are no parking fees if you travel by bike, it’s perfectly flat and it’s by far the best way to travel in town.
Go to the playground. Islington Park is perfect for this, with bike tracks for adults and kids.
Go to the fish markets. They are located along Throsby Creek and this modern porteur is perfect for carrying home loads of fresh fish.
I like that porteur!
I do too Annie, when I first glimpsed it I thought it was a vintage bike and had to go back and have a better look, I was surprised to see a modern bike in this style.
The beach is no 1 for me~365 days of the year. They build those beach cruisers for a very good reason.Cheap,so you don’t have to stress about the sun, salt, sand and rust!
Agreed SS, I love the beach and having a bike that can rust away without too much angst for its owner makes riding one there the perfect outing.
